“You can’t just walk out on her,” Angela pleaded with Pauline.
Pauline turned and stared into her daughter’s eyes, hoping the pain would stay hidden. It didn’t. Nodding, Pauline turned away. Her lips trembled as the agony in her heart exploded. She said, “I can’t keep watering a dead plant and hope it will eventually come back to life.”
“She is not a plant mom! She is your firstborn. She needs you,” Emily, her sister begs.
“I have nothing left. I have given her money, love, consideration, understanding, forgiveness, and many opportunities to clean up her life. At some point, a mother’s responsibility must end!”
Who thought you were a dead plant and gave up on you? Who watered you and waited until you revived? Tag and thank them today.
