Is America going crazy?
I read Michael Rhodes’s Doctor’s Appointment No-Show Fees
I was shocked and angered.
What the hell is missed business opportunities?
Our world is in chaos created mostly by greedy and egotistical humans. The more oppressed we are, the more mental health problems we will have.
It is natural for us to forget.
Most times, it is not intentional. The healthcare system is getting greedy and out of control.
In April of this year, my case’s son took his mother to the hospital on the advice of her Personal Care Doctor because she was having symptoms of Shingles. The hospital had no room available for her, so she was placed in the hall on the first floor, where everyone who passed could see her. They could cough and spread their germs on her and the other three elderly females lying in bed beside her.
Did I mention, she was 90 years old?
Everything was exposed for everyone entering or leaving the hospital to see.
She was examined by three separate doctors for a few seconds
She stayed at the hospital for about 23 hours and was discharged without getting a room.
The hospital billed her insurance a little over $13, 000.00.
For a bed in the small passage in the hospital?
How much would be the bill if she had a room?
Each doctor charged her insurance between $400-$600.
Just to look at her for a few seconds.
And they still want payment for the loss of business opportunities.
I am wondering if they are in a partnership with the ones adding chaos to our world, and then milking our insurance when we react in distress.
What do you think?
Thank you for reading this piece. I hope you enjoy it. Please try and stay healthy.
Canada cares more about their people.
This is the kind of thing that the great Canadian politician Tommy Douglas was trying to get rid of when he brought in the government-funded Medicare program when he was Premier of Saskatchewan and later advocated for nationally as leader of the New Democratic Party. He wanted physicians to stop taking advantage financially of their patients, which unfortunately seems to be the case in most of the world now.
You know who opposed Medicare the most? Doctors. Why? That should be obvious.
